Since the 1990's radio has become much more quicker and cheaper.
Play server: is a programme on the computer where all music is served, they are different for different types of radio stations.
DJ's will simply have the songs they need on the computer and be able to just play it.
Digital mixing desks: control the mixing of the programme.
High quality digital music formats such as WAV and FLAC and used for digital brodcasts.
Non-Linear editing packages such as pro tools, adobe audition, soundbooth and cubase are used to edit recorded programmes, packages, idents,adverts, stings etc.
Digital technology used in BBC clip 'A Guide To A Radio Studio'.
Play servers.
Monitors- controls volumes, has to be between 5 & 6
Cartwall- Where the adverts jingles were- used this to cue up which order.
