LO5: Contingency plan
Contingency Plan
Our back up plans for Get Your Funk On are...
Equipment
- Radio Microphone would be replaced with a Stereo handheld mic with a lapel mic plugged into it.
- Spit guards would not be used and we will stand further back
- Stereo headphones would be replaced with normal headphones
Presenters
We currently have 3 presenters but if one of the presenters were unavailable we would have to edit the script and make it suitable for only 2 presenters.
Broadcasting Time
If for some reason our broadcasting time is unavailable (currently 9pm-10pm on Fridays) we would have to edit the script to ensure that it covers watershed times and does not offend or discriminate a younger audience.
LO5: Budget and Equipment.
Radio Mic's x 3: £117 http://lighthouseaudiovisual.co.uk/w-audio-rm-01-radio-microphone-system-109911-p.asp
We need these for each presenter so we are heard when recording, we need decent quality ones too so the sound is clear.
Spit Guards x3: £33 http://www.pmtonline.co.uk/shure-grill-for-pg58-microphone.html?gclid=Cj0KEQiAsdCnBRC86PeFkuDJt_MBEiQAUXJfLTeXLk5Wx6quXxV1mdCK127i2ltsB7vVGXrnJxYElKQaAjhN8P8HAQ
Spit guards are used to protect or microphones and to decrease crackling and muffled noises, this will make a huge difference and the quality of sound will be a lot better.
Headphones x 3: £172.5 http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/recording/monitoring/19924-audio-technica-ath-m30-closed-back-dynamic-stereo-monitor-headphones/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=base
Headphones will be used so we can hear what we are playing and how it sounds all together, we can also listen to it back and hear how it sounds from someone else's perspective.
PRS license: £300 for a year
We need the PRS license so we can legally play music that we do not own, this will stop any commotion.
Cubase PRO 8: £448 http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/computer-music/software/106549-steinberg-cubase-pro-8-daw-software/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping&utm_campaign=base&gclid=Cj0KEQiAsdCnBRC86PeFkuDJt_MBEiQAUXJfLVF6N1ckN1cJ9juChC2XmsZsGxgZ4Mlv44jSe4QcnWQaAjN88P8HAQ
we need cubase to produce, arrange and record for the radio show.

LO5: Reflection.
From the feedback we received from our pitch, it is apparent that some areas needed improvement. For example, we needed to ensure that the age range for our target audience were actually old enough to remember the 90s music.
We were also told that our pitch had quite a few strengths such as the future developments of the show. We were also told that the adverts worked well as they were relevant and local to our products.
Since receiving feedback from Sheffield Live! we have decided that Get Your Funk On will be the show we are going to pastiche as there is a clear gap in the market and the presenter seemed most drawn to that idea.

LO3/LO4: Sample audio.
This is not copyright free and this is how we would be able to use it. We would have to use PRS liscense in order for us to use this as a theme tune.

Survey Analysis
Our survey results show that the majority of the audience understood our concept however 20% said they didn't therefore we will make it extremely clear. Q2 showed that the audience thought that we needed more visuals and since this, we have added more including making a logo for one of the ideas. Q3 told us that we needed to make it more clear of what genres the concepts pastiched. Q4 told us that the audience thought that,we as a team, were not prepared enough however when we did present this the first time, the pitch wasn't fully finished. Since this, we have ensured the pitch is complete to a presentable standard. Q5 told us that more people enjoyed the idea of Get Your Funk On than Pure Cheddar as they found pop music annoying.
